OLD
MAN EMU TRIM PACKER
We all know of the Land Cruisers infamous "leaning" to one side. This
generally occurs after a suspension settles in, whether it is stock or
aftermarket. As long as this lean is no more than 15mm (2/3") trim packers
can be used to correct the problem. Quite simply "Trim Packers" are shims
for use on your suspension to adjust the height of individual corners of
your suspension.
On each leaf spring applications the "packer"
goes between the spring and the spring saddle and will lower the offending
high corner. On some leaf applications a center pin bolt with a
longer head is required for fitting more than 1 packer. Use of more than
15mm of trim packers per spring is not advisable.
