Borgesen Super Heavy Duty Telescoping Shaft  


This is the heaviest duty telescoping steering shaft available for your Land Cruiser Saginaw steering conversion. With oversized needle bearing U-joints this telescoping shaft is ideal for large tires, long travel suspensions, and easily accommodates the body flex inherent in FJ40's when off-roading. 36" in length w/a 36 spline lower U-joint, and 3/4" upper to easily mate to your modified stock steering shaft, and Advance Adapters lower spud shaft.

This is what connects your Saginaw power steering box to your steering shaft and passes through the front frame cross brace. 36 spline.

4+PLUS "Close" Spud Shaft Clamp

The Advance Adapters spud shaft comes with it's own clamp. For installations where the steering box is located closer to the frame cross brace this special thin clamp(9/16" wide vs 1-1/8" standard. See comparison at left ) allows for easier clearance of front bumpers and bull bars, while minimizing need for a large hole in the cross brace.

Steering Column Mounting Plate

On pre 9/1972 FJ40's it is necessary to remount the steering column to a new firewall plate. To accomplish this we offer our 4+Plus column plate that is predrilled, and features a slotted opening to allow for
angle changes in the steering column. For those that prefer to do their own drilling, and fabricating, we offer the Advance Adapters column plate. Both plates are 3/16" steel.

Steering Shaft Support Bearings

Three choices here depending on vehicle production date, and preference. On pre 9/1972 vehicles you will use a column plate and either a bushing or bearing pressed into the end of the OEM tube to support the steering shaft after cutting it. On 10/1972-1984 vehicles a mounting plate w/integral bearing mounts to the firewall and supports the OEM steering shaft.

4+Plus Saginaw P/S Box Mounting Plate


Our 4+Plus Saginaw power steering box mounting plate is designed to be welded to the left front frame rail, and provide for optimal location of your steering box. Made of 3/8" plate steel this unit is
compatible w/shackle reversal kits and 3 or 4 boss mounting flange boxes.

4+Plus Saginaw Pump Bracket for F/2F Engines

The ultimate Saginaw Power steering pump bracket for use with an F/2F Land Cruiser 6 cylinder engine. Mounts to the 2 left front cylinder head bolts and securely carries a saginaw pump for either stock
upgrades or Saginaw conversions. Built to 4+Plus standards this bracket is made of 1/4" plate steel, and features an OEM type adjusting slot. "F" engines will need to change air cleaner or relocate.

4+Plus Saginaw Pump Pulley, Wide Groove


When running a Saginaw Power steering pump on a Land Cruiser 6 cylinder, most pulleys available for the Saginaw pump are designed for the thin V-8 type belts and will not properly fit the wide Land Cruiser belt.
We now offer a 4+Plus CNC machined billet aluminum Saginaw pulley with a groove width to match stock Land Cruiser belts. Will only fit Saginaw pumps with key type shafts.

Saginaw Relay Rods

These relay rods have one end that is threaded to accept an OEM type metric lower relay rod end, and an upper American thread special relay rod end that fits our pitman arms. The relay rod from Advance Adapters is standard tubing, and 26-3/4" long. The relay rod from 4+Plus is thick wall DOM(Drawn Over Mandrel) tubing and 27-1/2" long to accommodate lifted suspensions.
