Man-A-Fre has been offering customized performance carburetor kits for Land
Cruisers for 38 years now. In 1967 our founder Harold Graves
adapted a 2 barrel Rochester carburetor to an FJ40 for a friend. This was
the beginning of Man-a-Fre's involvement in the Land Cruiser
performance business. We continue this tradition by offering the most
refined, best performing, vehicle specific Weber conversions to suit
your carbureted Land Cruiser. Man-A-Fre offers different customized Weber
carburetor kits specifically adapted to your vehicles throttle
linkage, air cleaner, intake manifold and engine. Unlike other companies
that offer a generic off the shelf Weber kit, our kits are
specifically adapted to your vehicle. We also now offer kits that include
Man-A-Fre's exclusive 1 piece manifold adapter for simple,
leak free installations.
Our carburetor kits feature the high performance Weber 38mm positive action
2 barrel, or for the economy minded the Weber 32/36
progressive 2 barrel. On the 38mmDGAS both venturies actuate simultaneously
for unparalleled performance both on and off-road.
There is simply no other carburetor that will perform as well as this one on
your 6 cylinder Land Cruiser. When properly tuned these
carburetors will also deliver exceptional fuel economy. We have achieved
18mpg on an FJ60 with a Weber 38*.
Webers unique dual float on a single arm makes it virtually impossible for
fuel to "get around" the float causing flooding and
poor running on steep angles. This combined with a spring loaded needle &
seat make these carburetors more resistant to shocks, and
vibrations than any other aftermarket carburetor . The Weber 38 uses an
automatic electric choke, and the 32/36 uses a manual choke**. All
Weber carbs are easily adjusted and can be re-jetted for individual tuning
needs. MAN-A-FRE'S Weber kits designed to retain your stock
throttle linkage, pedal and air cleaner assembly (if desired) on 1968-1987
Land Cruisers. No changing to a smaller, open air cleaner
that's noisy, susceptible to water intake, draws hot air in from your
radiator, and is less efficient than your stock air cleaner. No need
to purchase an additional pedal & cable kit. All of these benefits:

linkage for those that do not wish to use (or no longer

*Mileage obtained on a 1982 FJ60 running a Man-A-Fre Hi-Performance 2F,
Ceramic Headers, DUI Ignition distributor. Tuned at Man-A-Fre's
facilities.
**Choke cable must be long style as found on FJ60's
Vehicles w/air injection will need to modify air rail to retain w/electric
choke
