MARK’s 4WD Adapter Kit

Made down under in Australia, the MARK’s Adapter Kit  is one GM small block V-8 adapter kit we like only slightly less than the Ranger Torque Splitter, and only because it does not deliver an overdrive in the bargain. For those that don’t want or need an overdrive this is an ideal adapter and for owners of 60 series Land Cruisers keeping a Toyota 4 or 5 speed manual transmission this is the only kit other than the Ranger that we recommend for your vehicle.

The big advantage of the Mark’s kit is it keeps your drive line in the stock location. This elimnates the need for driveshaft, linkage, and  speedo cable  modifications. It also allows for the reuse of the OEM tansmission mount , slave cylinder, and clutch linkage. The heart of the kit is Mark’s bellhousing adapter that mounts directly to the engine side of the original 4/5 speed bellhousing , and then mounts on the other side directly to a small block GM V-8. When the clutch is actuated the fork depresses a tube that runs through the center of the bellhousing with a new throw out bearing on the end. This bearing actuates the clutch assembly.

By ideally locating the V-8 this kit eliminates the need for firewall modifications to clear the cylinder heads or distributor, and moves tthe engine closer to the radiator making cooling system hook up easy and straight forward.

Mark’s adapter is available in a kit form which includes the bellhousing adapter kit and a front motor mount kit .  Must be used with a Centerforce clutch assembly sold separately.
