4+PLUS FJ40 SWING AWAY TIRE CARRIER W/ RECEIVE HITCH

A smaller version of the 4+Plus Tire & Cooler carriers, this unit is for FJ40 owners that do not want or need the Cooler/Jerry can carrier, but still want the heaviest duty tire carrier available. Built from the same 2" x .250" wall tubing as our other carriers, and using the same 1/2" plate steel frame mounts, and solid steel pivot pin, riding in honed/replaceable bronze bushings. Carrier latches securely with a Carr-Lane machinists latch, against polyurethane snubbers. Outer mounting flange has a built in eye for tow shackles, and the center mount features a full size heavy duty receiver hitch, w/ built in chain loops. Adjustable width tire mount head made of 3/8" plate steel, allows carrying of virtually any size tire/wheel combo. No part of this carrier mounts to the body of your vehicle. Available in left hand(D) or right hand(P) versions to move rear weight bias if desired. Tow shackles and ball mount not included.
