The gearing solution from Advance Adapters. The Rock Box will work with both US and Australian version Land Cruiser 4 speed transmissions with an OEM 16 spline output shaft, and GM SM420, or
SM465 transmissions. It can also be used with either 10 or 16 spline transfer input gears as found in pre 7/80 Land Cruiser transfer cases. A very cost effective way to get the gearing you need for extreme rock crawling.  One advantage of the AA Rock Box, is its' short overall length of 5" when installed. This can be a critical issue on FJ40's where rear drive shaft length is already short.
The Rock Box has a 3.44 reduction when engaged, and a pass through of 1:1 when not engaged. Installation requires a 1 or 2 inch body lift (sold separately), or major modifications to trans hump. On vehicles using a Land Cruiser 4 speed transmission, or SM465  installation of a new transmission main shaft is required, which is supplied in the kit. On vehicles using an SM 420 or SM465 the Rock Box acts as the transfer case adapter. You can modify your existing transfer case linkage, or buy the optional "twin stick" set up shown below (sold separately). Of course when you have the unit installed in your vehicle you will need to have the drive shafts modified to fit accordingly. If you do not want to do the work yourself, you can send us your transmission/transfer and we can install the new transmission main shaft and assemble the package so its' ready to install, or bring us your vehicle for turn key installation.

Payment by WIRE BANKING TRANSFER ONLY. For direct wire transfers there is a $30 fee for each transfer that will be included with the order total. Once we process your order, we will email the total, including freight, $30 wire transfer fee, and our banking information. You will need to respond whether you accept the total charges or not.
