Those of us that own an Early-
7/80 Land Cruiser are generally all too familiar with the original drum
type parking brake mounted on the rear output flange of the transfer case.
Although the original unit tends to work most of the time, it is quite
often the source of the most common oil leak on this vintage Land Cruiser.
When this leak is present, it is not only messy but it also tends to ruin
the parking brake shoes. In order to cure the leak, it is often necessary
to replace the drum, which is quite expensive. There is now a solution.
Man-A-Fre offers a complete replacement `Disc Brake Parking Brake Kit.
This kit is a complete bolt-on assembly that re-uses the original parking
brake cable, and requires no modifications. The caliper is a fully mechanical unit that
is easy to adjust and uses pads that are less expensive than the shoes
they replace.
You must include the core charge when
ordering this kit.
