One of the biggest problems
associated with V-8 conversions is moving sufficient air through the
radiator at low speeds to provide adequate cooling. In the past it was
necessary to use custom fan shrouds, spacers, or to completely relocate
the radiator in order to provide for this. By adding one of these hi-flowing
electric fans to the front of the radiator, sufficient air flow is provided
for low speed driving. In situations where elimination of the engine
fan is desired a second puller fan can be added to the rear of the radiator.
Available in 16”, 14”, and 12” diameter versions, these
fans feature a heavy-duty high-torque motor coupled with an advanced
blade design that is exceptionally quiet despite the high cfm capability
of the units. The 16” fan draws only 18.4 amps, while producing
72 db of sound and drawing 1900 cfm of air. 14” version draws 10.9
amps, and 1200 cfm, and 12” draws 6.2 amps and 780 cfm. Fans can
be reversed to either push or pull air. 16” fan is 4.17” thick,
14” is 3.56” thick, and 12” is 2.40” thick. Fans
kits are supplied with manual on-off control switch , and a thermostatic
control assembly for automatic on-off.
