our founder Harold Graves adapted a 2 barrel Rochester carburetor to an
FJ40 for a friend. This was the beginning of Man-A-Fre's involvement in
the Land Cruiser accessories business. Man-A-Fre was the first company
to offer a Land Cruiser specific Weber carburetor conversion in the
United States. We continue this tradition by offering the most refined,
best performing, vehicle specific Weber conversions to suit your
carbureted Land Cruiser. Man-A-Fre offers different customized Weber
carburetor kits specifically adapted to your vehicles throttle linkage,
air cleaner, and engine. Unlike other companies that offer a generic off
the shelf Weber kit, our kits are specifically adapted to your vehicle.
Every Weber sold at Man-A-Fre is checked for jetting, float height, and
float drop. Custom Jetting is available on request at the time of
purchase for no extra charge. Our carburetor kits featuring the Weber 38mm positive action 2 barrel are for those that want the maximum potential power from their 6-cylinder Land Cruiser. Both 38mm venturies actuate simultaneously for unparalleled performance both on and off-road. There is simply no other carburetor that will perform as well as this Weber on your 6 cylinder Land Cruiser. When properly tuned these carburetors will also deliver exceptional fuel economy. We have achieved 18mpg on an FJ60 with a Weber 38*.Webers unique dual float on a single arm makes it virtually impossible for fuel to "get around" the float causing flooding and poor running on steep angles. This combined with a spring loaded needle & seat make these carburetors more resistant to shocks, and vibrations than any other aftermarket carburetor available for your Land Cruiser. Our new kits feature mechanical choke actuation, allowing use of stock choke cables**. Best of all, MAN-A-FRE'S Weber kits are designed to retain your stock throttle linkage, cable, pedal and air cleaner assembly on 1968-1987 Land Cruisers. No changing to a smaller, open air cleaner that's noisy, susceptible to water intake, draws hot air in from your radiator, and is less efficient than your stock air cleaner. No need to purchase an additional pedal & cable kit. Custom Weber 38 DGMS Kit 1975-7/80 FJ40 OR FJ55 This refinement of our popular Weber 38MM DGMS performance carburetor is set up specifically for use on 75-7/80 FJ40 or FJ55. Fitting added to stock air cleaner adapter for fuel vapor hose. Custom jetting for 2F application. Exceptional ease of installation. Of course this kit is designed to retain stock rod linkage, and your OEM air cleaner. If you no longer have your stock linkage, call us and we will customize a kit to use cable linkage.
