How does Ranger Overdrive work? |

A Ranger overdrive is a 2 speed transmission,
that fits between your transmission and bellhousing. First gear in the
Ranger is a one to one pass through that does nothing to the gearing. When
you shift the Ranger it's second gear is a 27% OVERDRIVE. A customer drove a
1987 FJ60 with a 2F and 4-speed manual transmission from Globe, Arizona to
Man-A-Fre facility in Simi Valley, California that had a Ranger in it, and
for the 500 mile drive averaging 18 mpg cruising at an average 75 mph |
